Rob Stephenson is an award-winning fine art and architectural photographer based in Brooklyn, NY, whose work explores the evolving landscapes of urban environments. His photographs have been exhibited widely, including at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Museum of the City of New York, and in venues across North America and Europe. He has completed commissions for institutions such as the Center for Architecture, the Architectural League of New York and the Museum of the City of New York.
Stephenson is the recipient of fellowships from the Design Trust for Public Space, the Camera Club of New York, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. His awards include the FotoFilmic Solo V award and the Joyce Elaine Grant Photography Solo Show Award. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, T Magazine, Wired, Businessweek, and other publications.
He has published two monographs: Myths of the Near Future (Aint-Bad), an exploration of Florida's post-Space Shuttle landscape, and From Roof to Table, a chronicle of New York City's urban agriculture movement. Stephenson's current work focuses on building a comprehensive visual and sonic archive of New York City's neighborhoods, continuing his documentation of urban spaces and communities in transition.

Over the next year, I plan to continue documenting the city’s neighborhoods while also developing new ways to share the work beyond my weekly newsletter through a dedicated interactive website and by exploring opportunities for print publications.
