OSV Discord Community
Back in June we launched our Discord community, which offers a variety of opportunities for creatives, writers and filmmakers to connect, share, learn, and grow. Since then, we have witnessed the collaborative spirit blossom! Our Discord community is open to anyone who shares our passion for creativity, innovation, and storytelling. You can join here and enjoy the benefits of being part of a vibrant and supportive network of peers and mentors.
One of the highlights of our Discord community is our monthly writing challenges, which are designed to stimulate imagination, challenge skills, and showcase the tremendous talent residing in the community. Each month, we provide a theme for the writing challenge, which can be based on one of our podcasts, projects, or topics. The winner of the writing challenge receives a prize and recognition from our team and community.
July Community Winner
The winner of the July Community Writing Challenge was Chris Wong, who wrote a brilliant piece titled Unlocking Agency: Journey From Paycheck to Purpose. You can read his piece on Substack | Unknow UnKnows #108 and join us in congratulating him for his achievement.
In August, the community writing challenge theme was The Intersection of Art and Science. Art and science have long been perceived as separate entities, but in reality, they often intertwine, inspiring each other to create groundbreaking advancements and profound expressions of human imagination.
For this writing challenge, community members were asked to explore the fascinating intersection of art and science and showcase how their collaboration has led to remarkable discoveries, innovations, and artistic masterpieces.
August Community Winner
Among the many inspired entries, Edward Rooster’s Our Imagination Is A Camera For Taking Portraits Of The Future was selected as the winner for his meditation on the overlap between art and science that would make Edwin Land proud. You can read his winning essay on Substack | From the Future.
