OSV community gathers in real life
In the past quarters, the OSV Online Community has been a whirlwind of creativity and collaboration, with monthly writing challenges that have showcased the diverse talents and interests of our members. From thought-provoking articles on AI and technology to insightful pieces on biomedicine and literature, our community has proven time and again its depth of knowledge and passion for exploration.
Our writing challenges have become a cornerstone of our community, serving as a platform for members to express themselves, share their expertise, and engage in meaningful dialogue. Each month brings a new theme or prompt, encouraging participants to push their boundaries and explore new topics. The result? A rich tapestry of ideas, perspectives, and voices that truly encapsulates the essence of our community.

But our reach doesn’t end in the digital realm. We’ve taken the leap from pixels to pavement by hosting two unforgettable community gatherings, one in the vibrant streets of New York City and the other in the sunny expanse of Los Angeles.
In New York City, community members came together to revel in their collective love for words and stories. Whether they were aspiring tech founders, freelance filmmakers, or seasoned writers, every individual discovered a welcoming seat at the communal table.
Simultaneously, in Los Angeles, community members converged to engage in lively dialogues, and exchange ideas and stories. Within this gathering, the limitations of geographical boundaries dissolved, giving way to the formation of meaningful friendships and connections.
Looking ahead, we’re happy to announce the latest addition to the OSV lineup: the OSV Book Club. Drawing inspiration from our CEO Jim O’Shaughnessy’s recommendations on the Infinite Loops podcast, our book club promises to be a journey through worlds both familiar and fantastical. Whether you’re a seasoned reader or just dipping your toes into the literary waters, there’s something for everyone in our carefully curated selections.
